Do you use lye in your soap?
This is a very common question because of DIY articles out there on Pinterest and Google. There is a rumor that you can make soap without lye. This is simply untrue. All pure soaps that are not made with chemical detergents have to go through a process where lye reacts with oils to make the soap.
Another common concern is that lye is present in the finished soap product. Soap Makers have a great many modern tools to help calculate our recipes to be sure that your soap is safe and mild for use. Just like a cake recipe, we use ingredients that work together to get to the perfect final product, too much baking soda would make a fluffy cake, but it would not taste nice. So there are guidelines to help us along the way and tests we run to be sure that our soaps are the very best quality before we release them to you.
Here at Lady G Artisan Soap Company I personally formulate all but the Internationally imported soaps recipes. They are checked and rechecked before any production and then tested by some of my favorite people before the recipe is put on the market, ensuring that everyone enjoys their bar!
Do you ship internationally?
No. At this time we only ship within the 50 states, however we are working on expanding to international orders!
Can I visit your soap shop / workshop?
No. Unfortunately at this time our location is not open to the public. We are considering a location in the future!
Do you make soap wedding favors?
Yes! This is a special order only option. Please email Becky at ladygsoapco@gmail.com and we will discuss colors, styles, packaging, and pricing. Be aware that you will need ample time before the desired delivery date for production and curing times if choosing cold process options.
Can I request a sample bar? Is there a free trial?
I do offer free sample bars at request. I only keep a few on hand, they are first come first reserve. A random one of these is also sent out with every order.

How do I request a special order?
Just email Becky at ladygsoapco@gmail.com. We will go over what you would like and the minimum order needed for the special order. All monies will be collected at the time of the order and an expected shipping date will be given. If for any reason there is a delay, we will let you know! Common reasons for a special order may be a favorite scent we aren’t currently carrying, a special oil preference, wanting a larger batch for gift giving, wholesale ordering of any type, wedding favors of any kind, and a special design just for you! As always we love special orders, so do not hesitate to put in a request!
